《Tales of a Hong Kong Dandy》- Chua Lam 蔡瀾
Gist of the Book:
Form a Korean barber shop to the ruins of Machu Picchu, from an elaborate Kisaeng ceremony to a Budapest street party, Chua Lam, Hong Kong film producer ane writer of more than two hundred best sellers in Chinese, writes his first book in English during the pandemic lockdown. He invites us to join him as he recounts extraordinary tales from an extraordinary life. We meet film stars and fishmongers, Buddhist monks and a Spanish Contessa. We feast onf Wagyu beef washed down with vintage Romanée Conti, we make foie gras in a French farmhouse and drink single malt whiskey beneath a glacier.
Fine tales in the finest company, beautifully illustrated with wit and charm by his good friend Meilo So.
